Everyone likes to start the morning with a good cup of coffee. Sipping that essential cup of morning coffee gives us the opportunity to collect our thoughts, get ourselves together and truly wake up. We usually like to drink our coffee the way we’re used to. Coffee is the embodiment of passion, thrill and style – some will even say it is a reflection of our personality. This is, of course, less supported by scientific evidence than by careful observation. From time to time, we do indeed choose a cup of blackness based on our current mood. As our moods are liable to change several times during a day, it doesn’t hurt to schedule the busiest part of our day in close proximity to an excellent coffee house. It is easy to prepare at home, but if you want to have the real Wiener schnitzel, keep to the original recipe – you can only use veal, since if you use any other meat, is it not Wiener schnitzel anymore, but breaded cutlet.

The bar upstairs with its dim light is one of the cosiest places in the New York Palace. It offers a view of the Salon Restaurant, a part of the New York Café, and the lobby of the hotel: look around while you are sipping your coffee, have a nice lunch or dinner, and enjoy the piano music and the attention you get from us. The Nyugat Bar had seen some hard times before it became this peaceful place, and its misfortunes started in the previous century.
