Almost all of us like to start the day with a good cup of coffee. Whilst we’re drinking it, we gain time to organise our thoughts, pull ourselves together and give ourselves the chance to really wake up. And we generally like our coffee just the way we’re used to it. Coffee is a passion, a pleasure, a lifestyle – and, according to some, a reflection of our personality. Of course, there’s no scientific evidence to back this up; it’s based much more on observation. After all, it does happen from time to time that we make choices to suit our mood. And since our mood can change many times in the course of a day, it’s no bad thing to be near an excellent café during a busy period. If we’re in the mood for something special, let’s enjoy it in a special setting – at the World’s Most Beautiful Café!
The New York building is a sight to behold in its own right – the very embodiment of luxury and splendour – but if we pop in for a proper coffee, we can immerse ourselves even more deeply in this ambience, taking in the carnival of colours, shapes and fine materials, whilst indulging in a variety of culinary and beverage delights.
These days, we can order coffee in many different ways – there’s no question about it – and this is certainly the case at the New York Café too. Incidentally, if it takes our fancy, we can analyse our mood, though of course this is really just for fun; we should only believe in ourselves.
Delicacies on the drinks menu
At the New York Café, lovers of intense flavours can order an espresso or a double Italian espresso, or a cappuccino with coffee and frothed milk. A vanilla cappuccino is perfect for those who love rich aromas, whilst the latte macchiato offers a more indulgent experience, with layers of frothed milk, espresso and milk foam – and this can be enhanced even further with a dash of caramel.
According to the observations mentioned earlier, espresso is mainly favoured by those who are tough, persistent in their work, work hard and strive to achieve their goals as quickly as possible. Whimsical hobbies are out of the question, but adrenaline-fuelled sports are very much in. People who drink this sort of coffee really love a bit of excitement.
Those who love milky coffee try to be friendly and open-minded towards everyone. Childlike habits are common amongst milky coffee lovers; for example, they might collect soft toys or be a little whimsical.
Experts have dedicated a separate entry to cappuccino lovers: they say that if this is our favourite type of coffee, we are open to the outside world and approach everyday life with optimism. We’re happy to face up to problems and don’t worry about trivial matters.
The Melange represents a stronger milk-based coffee, as it is a 50-50 mixture of coffee and milk, topped with milk foam, yet its flavour is not as concentrated as that of a cappuccino. On the other hand, it can be stronger and spicier than others, as guests at the New York Café can now order a chilli-flavoured version of the Melange.
If you’d like to linger over a cup of coffee that isn’t too strong, you can also choose an American coffee, which, although espresso-based, is topped up with plenty of hot water, allowing you to enjoy a weaker, longer-lasting coffee. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy iced coffee with vanilla ice cream as a refreshing treat.
According to experts, people who drink this sort of coffee tend to be patient. They carry out their tasks very efficiently and are natural minimalists, which is why they seek simpler solutions in all areas of life. They are good team players.
And for which no analysis has yet been produced
It is likely that these experts, whose analyses we have had the privilege of examining, have not yet seen the heavenly smiles on our guests’ faces as they enjoy the following varieties of coffee.
The real curiosities, which represent the very pinnacle of coffee specialities – particularly for those who don’t mind having a dash of alcohol added to their refreshment – are Irish and Hungarian coffees. Those who choose Irish coffee can enjoy the perfect blend of Jameson whisky, brown sugar, espresso and whipped cream. Hungarian Coffee, meanwhile, embodies a truly distinctive harmony of flavours, as it is made from dry Tokaji Szamorodni, honey and espresso, with chilli-infused milk foam adding an extra touch of uniqueness.
You can also order cappuccino and latte macchiato in the ‘New York’ style, which doesn’t change the flavour but does mean a larger portion, so anyone who fancies one can enjoy a more substantial refreshment amongst the historic walls.
Venue Manager
The New York Café – true to its name and history – pays particular attention to quality in every respect. This is also true of its coffee: not only is its range of coffees exceptionally high-quality, but so too is the coffee used to prepare its refreshments. In Hungary, Dallmayr supplies its organic (via verde) whole-bean coffee exclusively to the New York Café; this coffee is made from fine Arabica beans, specially and gently roasted. And at the World’s Most Beautiful Café, the raw ingredients are in the best of hands, as only qualified baristas are permitted to prepare coffee here, ensuring that every cup of black coffee ordered is brewed with the utmost care.
Whether or not we believe in personality analysis based on coffee consumption, or whatever mood we happen to be in, we’re guaranteed to enjoy the coffees made at the New York Café.
